Flatten the Curve. #18. The current cold war between China and America explained. And how China was behind the 2008 Wall Street financial Crash. World War 3 is coming.

China, the USA, and the Afghanistan war are linked. And in order to get here, we will start there.
9-11 happened. Most of the planet mistakenly understood terrorists had struck a blow against Freedom and Capitalism and Democracy. It was time to invade Afghanistan. Yet all of the terrorists were linked to Saudi Arabia and not Afghanistan, that didn't make sense either. Yet they invaded to find Bin Laden, an ex CIA asset against the Soviet Union and it's subjugation of Afghanistan. The land in the middle of nowhere in relation to North America and the West. It was barren. A backwater without any strategic importance or natural resources.
Or was there?
The survey for rare earth elements was only made possible by the 2001 U.S. invasion, with work beginning in 2004. Mirzad says the Russians had already done significant surveying work during their military occupation of the country in the 1980s. Mirzad also toes the line for U.S. corporations, arguing, “The Afghan government should not touch the mining business. We have to give enough information to potential investors.”
Rare Earth Elements. The elements that make the information age possible. People could understand the First Gulf War and the Geopolitical importance of oil. That was easy, but it still didn't sound morally just to have a war for oil. It was too imperialist and so they fell in line and supported a war for Kuwaiti freedom instead, despite the obvious and public manipulation at the UN by Nayirah.
This is some of her testimony to the Human Rights Council.
While I was there, I saw the Iraqi soldiers come into the hospital with guns. They took the babies out of the incubators, took the incubators and left the children to die on the cold floor. It was horrifying. I could not help but think of my nephew who was born premature and might have died that day as well. After I left the hospital, some of my friends and I distributed flyers condemning the Iraqi invasion until we were warned we might be killed if the Iraqis saw us.
The Iraqis have destroyed everything in Kuwait. They stripped the supermarkets of food, the pharmacies of medicine, the factories of medical supplies, ransacked their houses and tortured neighbors and friends.
There was only one problem. She was the daughter of Saud Al-Sabah, the Kuwaiti ambassador to the United States. Furthermore, it was revealed that her testimony was organized as part of the Citizens for a Free Kuwait public relations campaign, which was run by the American public relations firm Hill & Knowlton for the Kuwaiti government (fun fact, Hill & Knowlton also have extensive ties with Bill Gates).
So the public was aghast at her testimony and supported the war against the mainly Soviet backed, but also American supported and Soviet backed Saddam Hussein, in his war against Iran, after the Iranians refused to Ally with American interests after the Islamic Revolution.
But that was oil, this was Rare Earth Elements. There was a reason the war was called, Operation Enduring Freedom. This natural resource was far more important in the long run. You couldn't have a security surveillance apparatus without it. And what was supposed to be a war on terror was in actuality a territorial occupation for resources.
Sleeping Dragon China is next, and where there's smoke, there's fire.
Let's go point form for clarity.
• China entered the rare earth market in the mid-1980s, at a time when the US was the major producer. But China soon caught up and became the production leader for rare earths. Its heavily state-supported strategy was aimed at dominating the global rare earth industry.
• 1989 Beijing’s Tiananmen Square spring. The U.S. government suspends military sales to Beijing and freezes relations.
• 1997. Clinton secures the release of Wei and Tiananmen Square protester Wang Dan. Beijing deports both dissidents to the United States. (If you don't understand these two were CIA assets working in China, you need to accept that not everything will be published. America wouldn't care about two political activists, but why would care about two intelligence operatives).
• March 1996. Taiwan’s First Free Presidential Vote.
• May 1999. America "accidently" bombs the Belgrade Chinese Embassy.
• 2002 Price competitiveness was hard for the USA to achieve due to low to non-existent Chinese environmental standards; as a result, the US finally stopped its rare earth production.
• October 2000. U.S. President Bill Clinton signs the U.S.-China Relations Act. China's take over of the market share in rare earth elements starts to increase.
• October 2001. Afghanistan war Enduring Freedom started to secure rare earth elements (Haven't you ever wondered how they could mobilize and invade so quickly? The military was already prepared).
• 2005. China establishes a monopoly on global production by keeping mineral prices low and then panics markets by introducing export quotas to raise prices by limiting supply.
• Rare Earth Elements. Prices go into the stratosphere (for example, dysprosium prices do a bitcoin, rocketing from $118/kg to $2,262/kg between 2008 and 2011).
• In a September 2005. Deputy Secretary of State Robert B. Zoellick initiates a strategic dialogue with China. This was presented as dialog to acknowledge China's emergence as a Superpower (which China probably insisted on), but it was about rare earth elements market price.
• October 2006. China allows North Korea to conduct its first nuclear test, China serves as a mediator to bring Pyongyang back to the negotiating table with the USA.
• September 2006. American housing prices start to fall.
(At some point after this, secret negotiations must have become increasingly hostile).
• March 2007. China Increases Military Spending. U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney says China’s military buildup is “not consistent” with the country’s stated goal of a “peaceful rise.”
• Mid-2005 and mid-2006. China bought between $100b and $250 billion of US housing debt between mid-2005 and mid-2006. This debt was bought using the same financial instruments that caused the financial collapse.
• 2006. Housing prices started to fall for the first time in decades.
• Mid-2006 and mid-2007. China likely added another $390b to its reserves. "At the same time, if China stopped buying -- especially now, when the private market is clogged up -- US financial markets would really seize up." Council on Foreign Relations-2007 August
• February 27, 2007. Stock markets in China and the U.S. fell by the most since 2003. Investors leave the money market and flock to Government backed Treasury Bills.
I've never seen it like this before,'' said Jim Galluzzo, who began trading short-maturity Treasuries 20 years ago and now trades bills at RBS Greenwich Capital in Greenwich, Connecticut.Bills right now are trading like dot-coms.''
We had clients asking to be pulled out of money market funds and wanting to get into Treasuries,'' said Henley Smith, fixed-income manager in New York at Castleton Partners, which oversees about $150 million in bonds.People are buying T-bills because you know exactly what's in it.''
• February 13, 2008. The Economic Stimulus Act of 2008 was enacted, which included a tax rebate. The total cost of this bill was projected at $152 billion for 2008. A December 2009 study found that only about one-third of the tax rebate was spent, providing only a modest amount of stimulus.
• September 2008. China Becomes Largest U.S. Foreign Creditor at 600 billion dollars.
• 2010. China’s market power peaked in when it reached a market share of around 97% of all rare earth mineral production. Outside of China, there were almost no other producers left.
Outside of China, the US is the second largest consumer of rare earths in the world behind Japan.
About 60% of US rare earth imports are used as catalysts for petroleum refining, making it the country’s major consumer of rare earths.
The US military also depends on rare earths. Many of the most advanced US weapon systems, including smart bombs, unmanned drones, cruise missiles, laser targeting, radar systems and the Joint Strike Fighter programme rely on rare earths. Against this background, the US Department of Defense (DoD) stated that “reliable access to the necessary material is a bedrock requirement for DOD”
• 2010. A trade dispute arose when the Chinese government reduced its export quotas by 40% in 2010, sending the rare earths prices in the markets outside China soaring. The government argued that the quotas were necessary to protect the environment.
• August 2010. China Becomes World’s Second-Largest Economy.
• November 2011. U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton outlines a U.S. “pivot” to Asia. Clinton’s call for “increased investment—diplomatic, economic, strategic, and otherwise—in the Asia-Pacific region” is seen as a move to counter China’s growing clout.
• December 2011. U.S. President Barack Obama announces the United States and eight other nations have reached an agreement on the Trans-Pacific Partnership later announces plans to deploy 2,500 marines in Australia, prompting criticism from Beijing.
• November 2012. China’s New Leadership. Xi Jinping replaces Hu Jintao as president, Communist Party general secretary, and chairman of the Central Military Commission. Xi delivers a series of speeches on the “rejuvenation” of China.
• June 2013. U.S. President Barack Obama hosts Chinese President Xi Jinping for a “shirt-sleeves summit”
• May 19, 2014. A U.S. court indicts five Chinese hackers, allegedly with ties to China’s People’s Liberation Army, on charges of stealing trade technology from U.S. companies.
• November 12, 2014. Joint Climate Announcement. Barack Obama and Chinese President Xi Jinping issue a joint statement on climate change, pledging to reduce carbon emissions. (which very conveniently allows the quotas to fall and save pride for Xi).
• 2015. China drops the export quotas because in 2014, the WTO ruled against China.
• May 30, 2015 U.S. Warns China Over South China Sea. (China is trying to expand it's buffer zone to build a defense for the coming war).
• January 2016. The government to abolish the one-child policy, now allowing all families to have two children.
• February 9, 2017. Trump Affirms One China Policy After Raising Doubts.
• April 6 – 7, 2017. Trump Hosts Xi at Mar-a-Lago. Beijing and Washington to expand trade of products and services like beef, poultry, and electronic payments, though the countries do not address more contentious trade issues including aluminum, car parts, and steel.
• November 2017. President Xi meets with President Trump in another high profile summit.
• March 22, 2018. Trump Tariffs Target China. The White House alleges Chinese theft of U.S. technology and intellectual property. Coming on the heels of tariffs on steel and aluminum imports, the measures target goods including clothing, shoes, and electronics and restrict some Chinese investment in the United States.
• July 6, 2018 U.S.-China Trade War Escalates.
• September 2018. Modifications led to the exclusion of rare earths from the final list of products and they consequently were not subject to import tariffs imposed by the US government in September 2018.
• October 4, 2018. Pence Speech Signals Hard-Line Approach. He condemns what he calls growing Chinese military aggression, especially in the South China Sea, criticizes increased censorship and religious persecution by the Chinese government, and accuses China of stealing American intellectual property and interfering in U.S. elections.
• December 1, 2018. Canada Arrests Huawei Executive.
• March 6, 2019. Huawei Sues the United States.
• March 27 2019. India and the US signed an agreement to "strengthen bilateral security and civil nuclear cooperation" including the construction of six American nuclear reactors in India
• May 10, 2019. Trade War Intensifies.
• August 5, 2019. U.S. Labels China a Currency Manipulator.
• November 27, 2019. Trump Signs Bill Supporting Hong Kong Protesters. Chinese officials condemn the move, impose sanctions on several U.S.-based organizations, and suspend U.S. warship visits to Hong Kong.
• January 15, 2020. ‘Phase One’ Trade Deal Signed. But the agreement maintains most tariffs and does not mention the Chinese government’s extensive subsidies. Days before the signing, the United States dropped its designation of China as a currency manipulator.
• January 31, 2020. Tensions Soar Amid Coronavirus Pandemic.
• March 18, 2020. China Expels American Journalists. The Chinese government announces it will expel at least thirteen journalists from three U.S. newspapers—the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Washington Post—whose press credentials are set to expire in 2020. Beijing also demands that those outlets, as well as TIME and Voice of America, share information with the government about their operations in China. The Chinese Foreign Ministry says the moves are in response to the U.S. government’s decision earlier in the year to limit the number of Chinese journalists from five state-run media outlets in the United States to 100, down from 160, and designate those outlets as foreign missions.
And here we are. You may have noticed the Rare Earth Elements and the inclusion of Environmental Standards. Yes these are key to understanding the Geopolitical reality and importance of these events. There's a reason the one child policy stopped. Troop additions.
I believe our current political reality started at Tiananmen square. The protests were an American sponsored attempt at regime change after the failure to convince them to leave totalitarian communism and join a greater political framework.
Do I have proof? Yes.
China, as far as I'm concerned, was responsible for the 2008 economic crisis. The Rare Earth Elements were an attempt to weaken the States and strengthen themselves simultaneously. This stranglehold either forced America to trade with China, or the trade was an American Trojan horse to eventually collapse their economy and cause a revolution after Tiananmen Square failed. Does my second proposal sound far fetched? Didn't the economy just shut down in response to the epidemic? Aren't both sides blaming the other? At this POINT, the epidemic seems to be overstated doesn’t it? Don't the casualties tend to the elder demographic and those already weakened by a primary disease?
Exactly the kinds who wouldn't fight in a war.
Does this change some of my views on the possibility of upcoming catastrophes and reasons for certain events? No. This is Chess, and there are obvious moves in chess, hidden moves in chess, but the best moves involve peices which can be utilized in different ways if the board calls for it.
Is all what it seems? No.
I definitely changed a few previously held beliefs prior to today, and I would caution you in advance that you will find some previously held convictions challenged.
After uncovering what I did today, I would also strongly suggest reading information cautiously. This is all merely a culmination of ending the cold war, and once I have events laid out, you will see it as well.
At this moment, the end analysis is a war will start in the near future. This will be mainly for a few reasons, preemptive resource control for water and crops, population reduction can be achieved since we have too many people, not enough jobs, and upcoming resource scarcity.
Did you notice my omission of rare earth elements? This is because of Afghanistan. I would wager China or Russia is somehow supporting the continued resistance through Iran. But events are now accelerating with China because the western collation has already begun to build up their mines and start production.
Do you remember when Trump made a "joke" about buying Greenland? Yeah. It turns out that Greenland has one of the largest rare earth mineral deposits on the planet.
Take care. Be safe. Stay aware and be prepared.

A decentralized storage network that transforms cloud storage into an account market. Miners obtain the integrity of the original protocol by providing data storage and / or retrieval. On the contrary, customers pay miners to store or distribute data and retrieve it.
Filecoin announced, that there will be more delays before its main network is officially launched.
Filecoin developers postponed the release date of their main network to late July to late August 2020.
As mentioned in a recent announcement, the Filecoin team said that the initiative completed the first round of the internal protocol security audit. Platform developers claim that the results of the review showed that they need to make several changes to the protocol’s code base before performing the second stage of the software testing process.
Created by Protocol Labs, Filecoin was developed using File System (IPFS), which is a peer-to-peer data storage network. Filecoin will allow users to trade storage space in an open and decentralized market.
Filecoin developers implemented one of the largest cryptocurrency sales in 2017. They have privately obtained over $ 200 million from professional or accredited investors, including many institutional investors.
The main network was slated to launch last month, but in February 2020, the Philly Queen development team delayed the release of the main network between July 15 and July 17, 2020.
They claimed that the outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in China was the main cause of the delay. The developers now say that they need more time to solve the problems found during a recent codecase audit.
The Filecoin team noted the following:
“We have drafted a number of protocol changes to ensure that building our major network launch is safe and economically sound.” The project developers will add them to two different implementations of Filecoin (Lotus and go-filecoin) in the coming weeks.
Filecoin developers conducted a survey to allow platform community members to cast their votes on three different launch dates for Testnet Phase 2 and mainnet.
The team reported that the community gave their votes. Based on the vote results, the Filecoin team announced a “conservative” estimate that the second phase of the network test should begin by May 11, 2020. The main Filecoin network may be launched sometime between July 20 and August 21, 2020.
The updates to the project can be found on the Filecoin Road Map.
Filecoin developers stated:
“This option will make us get the most important protocol changes first, and then implement the rest as protocol updates during testnet.” Filecoin is back down from the final test stage.
Another filecoin decentralized storage network provider launched its catalytic test network, the final stage of the storage network test that supports the blockchain.
In a blog post on her website, Filecoin said she will postpone the last test round until August. The company also announced a calibration period from July 20 to August 3 to allow miners to test their mining settings and get an idea of how competition conditions affected their rewards.
Filecoin had announced earlier last month that the catalytic testnet test would precede its flagship launch. The delay in the final test also means that the company has returned the main launch window between August 31 and September 21.
Despite the lack of clear incentives for miners and multiple delays, Filecoin has succeeded in attracting huge interest, especially in China. Investors remained highly speculating on the network’s mining hardware and its premium price.
Mining in Filecoin
In most blockchain protocols, “miners” are network participants who do the work necessary to promote and maintain the blockchain. To provide these services, miners are compensated in the original cryptocurrency.
Mining in Filecoin works completely differently — instead of contributing to computational power, miners contribute storage capacity to use for dealing with customers looking to store data.
Filecoin will contain several types of miners:
Storage miners responsible for storing files and data on the network. Miners retrieval, responsible for providing quick tubes for file recovery. Miners repair to be carried out.
Storage miners are the heart of the network. They earn Filecoin by storing data for clients, and computerizing cipher directories to check storage over time. The probability of earning the reward reward and transaction fees is proportional to the amount of storage that the Miner contributes to the Filecoin network, not the hash power.
Retriever miners are the veins of the network. They earn Filecoin by winning bids and mining fees for a specific file, which is determined by the market value of the said file size. Miners bandwidth and recovery / initial transaction response time will determine its ability to close recovery deals on the network.
The maximum bandwidth of the recovery miners will determine the total amount of deals that it can enter into.
In the current implementation, the focus is mostly on storage miners, who sell storage capacity for FIL.

Hardware recommendations

The current system specifications recommended for running the miner are:
Compared to the hardware requirements for running a validity checker, these standards are much higher — although they definitely deserve it. Since these will not increase in the presumed future, the money spent on Filecoin mining hardware will provide users with many years of reliable service, and they pay themselves many times. Think of investing as a small business for cloud storage. To launch a model on the current data hosting model, it will cost millions of dollars in infrastructure and logistics to get started. With Filecoin, you can do the same for a few thousand dollars.
Proceed to mining
Deals are the primary function of the Filecoin network, and it represents an agreement between a client and miners for a “storage” contract.
Once the customer decides to have a miner to store based on the available capacity, duration and price required, he secures sufficient funds in a linked portfolio to cover the total cost of the deal. The deal is then published once the mine accepts the storage agreement. By default, all Filecoin miners are set to automatically accept any deal that meets their criteria, although this can be disabled for miners who prefer to organize their deals manually.
After the deal is published, the customer prepares the data for storage and then transfers it to the miner. Upon receiving all the data, the miner fills in the data in a sector, closes it, and begins to provide proofs to the chain. Once the first confirmation is obtained, the customer can make sure the data is stored correctly, and the deal has officially started.
Throughout the deal, the miner provides continuous proofs to the chain. Clients gradually pay with money they previously closed. If there is missing or late evidence, the miner is punished. More information about this can be found in the Runtime, Cut and Penalties section of this page.
At Filecoin, miners earn two different types of rewards for their efforts: storage fees and reward prevention.
Storage fees are the fees that customers pay regularly after reaching a deal, in exchange for storing data. This fee is automatically deposited into the withdrawal portfolio associated with miners while they continue to perform their duties over time, and is locked for a short period upon receipt.
Block rewards are large sums given to miners calculated on a new block. Unlike storage fees, these rewards do not come from a linked customer; Instead, the new FIL “prints” the network as an inflationary and incentive measure for miners to develop the chain. All active miners on the network have a chance to get a block bonus, their chance to be directly proportional to the amount of storage space that is currently being contributed to the network.
Duration of operation, cutting and penalties
“Slashing” is a feature found in most blockchain protocols, and is used to punish miners who fail to provide reliable uptime or act maliciously against the network.
In Filecoin, miners are susceptible to two different types of cut: storage error cut, unanimously reduce error.
Storage Error Reduction is a term used to include a wider range of penalties, including error fees, sector penalties, and termination fees. Miners must pay these penalties if they fail to provide reliability of the sector or decide to leave the network voluntarily.
An error fee is a penalty that a miner incurs for each non-working day. Sector punishment: A penalty incurred by a miner of a disrupted sector for which no error was reported before the WindowPoSt inspection.
The sector will pay an error fee after the penalty of the sector once the error is discovered.
Termination Fee: A penalty that a miner incurs when a sector is voluntary or involuntarily terminated and removed from the network.
Cutting consensus error is the penalty that a miner incurs for committing consensus errors. This punishment applies to miners who have acted maliciously against the network consensus function.
Filecoin miners
Eight of the top 10 Felticoin miners are Chinese investors or companies, according to the blockchain explorer, while more companies are selling cloud mining contracts and distributed file sharing system hardware. CoinDesk’s Wolfe Chao wrote: “China’s craze for Filecoin may have been largely related to the long-standing popularity of crypto mining in the country overall, which is home to about 65% of the computing power on Bitcoin at discretion.”
With Filecoin approaching the launch of the mainnet blocknet — after several delays since the $ 200 million increase in 2017 — Chinese investors are once again speculating strongly about network mining devices and their premium prices.
Since Protocol Labs, the company behind Filecoin, released its “Test Incentives” program on June 9 that was scheduled to start in a week’s time, more than a dozen Chinese companies have started selling cloud mining contracts and hardware — despite important details such as economics Mining incentives on the main network are still endless.
Sales volumes to date for each of these companies can range from half a million to tens of millions of dollars, according to self-reported data on these platforms that CoinDesk has watched and interviews with several mining hardware manufacturers.
Filecoin’s goal is to build a distributed storage network with token rewards to spur storage hosting as a way to drive wider adoption. Protocol Labs launched a test network in December 2019. But the tokens mined in the testing environment so far are not representative of the true silicon coin that can be traded when the main network is turned on. Moreover, the mining incentive economics on testnet do not represent how final block rewards will be available on the main network.
However, data from Blockecoin’s blocknetin testnet explorers show that eight out of 10 miners with the most effective mining force on testnet are currently Chinese miners.
These eight miners have about 15 petabytes (PB) of effective storage mining power, accounting for more than 85% of the total test of 17.9 petable. For the context, 1 petabyte of hard disk storage = 1000 terabytes (terabytes) = 1 million gigabytes (GB).
Filecoin craze in China may be closely related to the long-standing popularity of crypt mining in the country overall, which is home to about 65% of the computing power on Bitcoin by estimation. In addition, there has been a lot of hype in China about foreign exchange mining since 2018, as companies promote all types of devices when the network is still in development.
“Encryption mining has always been popular in China,” said Andy Tien, co-founder of 1475, one of several mining hardware manufacturers in Philquin supported by prominent Chinese video indicators such as Fenbushi and Hashkey Capital.
“Even though the Velikoyen mining process is more technologically sophisticated, the idea of mining using hard drives instead of specialized machines like Bitcoin ASIC may be a lot easier for retailers to understand,” he said.
Meanwhile, according to Feixiaohao, a Chinese service comparable to CoinMarketCap, nearly 50 Chinese crypto exchanges are often somewhat unknown with some of the more well-known exchanges including Gate.io and Biki — have listed trading pairs for Filecoin currency contracts for USDT.
In bitcoin mining, at the current difficulty level, one segment per second (TH / s) fragmentation rate is expected to generate around 0.000008 BTC within 24 hours. The higher the number of TH / s, the greater the number of bitcoins it should be able to produce proportionately. But in Filecoin, the efficient mining force of miners depends on the amount of data stamped on the hard drive, not the total size of the hard drive.
To close data in the hard drive, the Filecoin miner still needs processing power, i.e. CPU or GPU as well as RAM. More powerful processors with improved software can confine data to the hard drive more quickly, so miners can combine more efficient mining energy faster on a given day.
As of this stage, there appears to be no transparent way at the network level for retail investors to see how much of the purchased hard disk drive was purchased which actually represents an effective mining force.
The U.S.-based Labs Protocol was behind Filecoin’s initial coin offer for 2017, which raised an astonishing $ 200 million.
This was in addition to a $ 50 million increase in private investment supported by notable venture capital projects including Sequoia, Anderson Horowitz and Union Square Ventures. CoinDk’s parent company, CoinDk, has also invested in Protocol Labs.
After rounds of delay, Protocol Protocols said in September 2019 that a testnet launch would be available around December 2019 and the main network would be rolled out in the first quarter of 2020.
The test started as promised, but the main network has been delayed again and is now expected to launch in August 2020. What is Filecoin mining process?
Filecoin mainly consists of three parts: the storage market (the chain), the blockecin Filecoin, and the search market (under the chain). Storage and research market in series and series respectively for security and efficiency. For users, the storage frequency is relatively low, and the security requirements are relatively high, so the storage process is placed on the chain. The retrieval frequency is much higher than the storage frequency when there is a certain amount of data. Given the performance problem in processing data on the chain, the retrieval process under the chain is performed. In order to solve the security issue of payment in the retrieval process, Filecoin adopts the micro-payment strategy. In simple terms, the process is to split the document into several copies, and every time the user gets a portion of the data, the corresponding fee is paid. Types of mines corresponding to Filecoin’s two major markets are miners and warehousers, among whom miners are primarily responsible for storing data and block packages, while miners are primarily responsible for data query. After the stable operation of the major Filecoin network in the future, the mining operator will be introduced, who is the main responsible for data maintenance.
In the initial release of Filecoin, the request matching mechanism was not implemented in the storage market and retrieval market, but the takeover mechanism was adopted. The three main parts of Filecoin correspond to three processes, namely the stored procedure, retrieval process, packaging and reward process. The following figure shows the simplified process and the income of the miners:
The Filecoin mining process is much more complicated, and the important factor in determining the previous mining profit is efficient storage. Effective storage is a key feature that distinguishes Filecoin from other decentralized storage projects. In Filecoin’s EC consensus, effective storage is similar to interest in PoS, which determines the likelihood that a miner will get the right to fill, that is, the proportion of miners effectively stored in the entire network is proportional to final mining revenue.
It is also possible to obtain higher effective storage under the same hardware conditions by improving the mining algorithm. However, the current increase in the number of benefits that can be achieved by improving the algorithm is still unknown.
It seeks to promote mining using Filecoin Discover
Filecoin announced Filecoin Discover — a step to encourage miners to join the Filecoin network. According to the company, Filecoin Discover is “an ever-growing catalog of numerous petabytes of public data covering literature, science, art, and history.” Miners interested in sharing can choose which data sets they want to store, and receive that data on a drive at a cost. In exchange for storing this verified data, miners will earn additional Filecoin above the regular block rewards for storing data. Includes the current catalog of open source data sets; ENCODE, 1000 Genomes, Project Gutenberg, Berkley Self-driving data, more projects, and datasets are added every day.
Ian Darrow, Head of Operations at Filecoin, commented on the announcement:
“Over 2.5 quintillion bytes of data are created every day. This data includes 294 billion emails, 500 million tweets and 64 billion messages on social media. But it is also climatology reports, disease tracking maps, connected vehicle coordinates and much more. It is extremely important that we maintain data that will serve as the backbone for future research and discovery”.
Miners who choose to participate in Filecoin Discover may receive hard drives pre-loaded with verified data, as well as setup and maintenance instructions, depending on the company. The Filecoin team will also host the Slack (fil-Discover-support) channel where miners can learn more.
Filecoin got its fair share of obstacles along the way. Last month Filecoin announced a further delay before its main network was officially launched — after years of raising funds.
In late July QEBR (OTC: QEBR) announced that it had ceded ownership of two subsidiaries in order to focus all of the company’s resources on building blockchain-based mining operations.
The QEBR technology team previously announced that it has proven its system as a Filecoin node valid with CPU, GPU, bandwidth and storage compatibility that meets all IPFS guidelines. The QEBR test system is connected to the main Filecoin blockchain and the already mined filecoin coin has already been tested.
“The disclosure of Sheen Boom and Jihye will allow our team to focus only on the upcoming global launch of Filecoin. QEBR branch, Shenzhen DZD Digital Technology Ltd. (“ DZD “), has a strong background in blockchain development, extraction Data, data acquisition, data processing, data technology research. We strongly believe Filecoin has the potential to be a leading blockchain-based cryptocurrency and will make every effort to make QEBR an important player when Mainecoin mainnet will be launched soon”.
IPFS and Filecoin
Filecoin and IPFS are complementary protocols for storing and sharing data in a decentralized network. While users are not required to use Filecoin and IPFS together, the two combined are working to resolve major failures in the current web infrastructure.
IPFS
It is an open source protocol that allows users to store and transmit verifiable data with each other. IPFS users insist on data on the network by installing it on their own device, to a third-party cloud service (known as Pinning Services), or through community-oriented systems where a group of individual IPFS users share resources to ensure the content stays live.
The lack of an integrated catalytic mechanism is the challenge Filecoin hopes to solve by allowing users to catalyze long-term distributed storage at competitive prices through the storage contract market, while maintaining the efficiency and flexibility that the IPFS network provides.
Using IPFS
In IPFS, the data is hosted by the required data installation nodes. For data to persist while the user node is offline, users must either rely on their other peers to install their data voluntarily or use a central install service to store data.
Peer-to-peer reliance caching data may be a good thing as one or multiple organizations share common files on an internal network, or where strong social contracts can be used to ensure continued hosting and preservation of content in the long run. Most users in an IPFS network use an installation service.
Using Filecoin
The last option is to install your data in a decentralized storage market, such as Filecoin. In Filecoin’s structure, customers make regular small payments to store data when a certain availability, while miners earn those payments by constantly checking the integrity of this data, storing it, and ensuring its quick recovery. This allows users to motivate Filecoin miners to ensure that their content will be live when it is needed, a distinct advantage of relying only on other network users as required using IPFS alone.
Filecoin, powered by IPFS
It is important to know that Filecoin is built on top of IPFS. Filecoin aims to be a very integrated and seamless storage market that takes advantage of the basic functions provided by IPFS, they are connected to each other, but can be implemented completely independently of each other. Users do not need to interact with Filecoin in order to use IPFS.
Some advantages of sharing Filecoin with IPFS:
Of all the decentralized storage projects, Filecoin is undoubtedly the most interested, and IPFS has been running stably for two years, fully demonstrating the strength of its core protocol.
Filecoin’s ability to obtain market share from traditional central storage depends on end-user experience and storage price. Currently, most Filecoin nodes are posted in the IDC room. Actual deployment and operation costs are not reduced compared to traditional central cloud storage, and the storage process is more complicated.
PoRep and PoSt, which has a large number of proofs of unknown operation, are required to cause the actual storage cost to be so, in the early days of the release of Filecoin. The actual cost of storing data may be higher than the cost of central cloud storage, but the initial storage node may reduce the storage price in order to obtain block rewards, which may result in the actual storage price lower than traditional central cloud storage.
In the long term, Filecoin still needs to take full advantage of its P2P storage, convert storage devices from specialization to civil use, and improve its algorithms to reduce storage costs without affecting user experience. The storage problem is an important problem to be solved in the blockchain field, so a large number of storage projects were presented at the 19th Web3 Summit. IPFS is an important part of Web3 visibility. Its development will affect the development of Web3 to some extent. Likewise, Web3 development somewhat determines the future of IPFS. Filecoin is an IPFS-based storage class project initiated by IPFS. There is no doubt that he is highly expected.

Zhuoer Jiang: Talk about the difference between BTC, BCH and BSV

Zhuoer Jiang: Talk about the difference between BTC, BCH and BSV

https://preview.redd.it/kcdq7qrjnyd51.jpg?width=570&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=af67bd46683fbe3ffa6c081d490d69598dd83bbb
1. When do you contact Bitcoin? What do you think of the blockchain industry?
I came into contact with Bitcoin in October 2013. At that time, I was making game aids, which involved the issue of collecting money from Taiwan and Southeast Asia.
The reason for cultivating the blockchain industry is that blockchain is the only industry that can provide economic freedom. The blockchain is decentralized and has no control center, so no one can eliminate it, so it provides economic freedom. The counter-example is Qvod player. Although Qvod player also has tens of thousands of nodes, it is centralized. As long as the control center is killed, the Qvod player network will die. (QvodPlayer is a Chinese-based video-on-demand playback software, using P2P technology, users can watch online film and television programs through buffering. In mainland China, QvodPlayer has a huge number of users. Due to the use of a dedicated transmission protocol, QvodPlayer is used by some users to download banned videos, such as violent or pornographic videos, and politically sensitive videos. In addition, pirated movies are rampant in QvodPlayer)
I am not a Bitcoinist. As long as other tokens provide economic freedom, I will buy them with real money. My position portfolio is BCH 40% + BTC 30% + ETH 20% + economically free innovative currency 10%, and I think that ETH is likely to exceed BTC in total market value in this bull market.
2. What is the difference between BTC, BCH and BSV?
The easiest thing to see is the difference in block size. BTC blocks have been locked at about 1MB, while BSV advocates infinite blocks. BCH advocates a moderate block size, which cannot exceed the carrying capacity of an ordinary computer. The current value is about 32MB.
Both BTC and BSV have gone to extremes. The BTC development team, Core, pursues extreme decentralization, resulting in too small blocks and high transaction fees. In the last bull market, a transaction fee was as high as hundreds of thousands of yuan, which caused a large number of BTC users to flow out to BCH, ETH and other tokens.
Some people think that BTC can rely entirely on stored-value users instead of using users to survive. This is impossible. If there are no users, there are no stored value users. For example, gold is obviously more suitable for storing value, but almost everyone has bank deposits, except for the elderly, almost no one uses gold to store value. To
People usually use paper money to store value, and naturally they also use paper money to store value. It is impossible to use paper money to store value with gold, and it is impossible to use paper money for small transactions and gold for large transactions. Currency has a scale effect, and it must be a winner takes all.
BSV has gone to the other extreme. The blockchain is enough to store transaction data, but if the blockchain is used as cloud storage, no amount of space is enough. Think about how many resources the world has to store. The result is that the performance requirements are too high, the number of nodes is drastically reduced, and the foundation of the blockchain, which is decentralization, is lost. In the end, it falls into the same fate as the Qvod player. To
Behind the different block sizes are the differences in the spirit of the three. Just like during the Opium War, the difference between Britain and China's Qing Dynasty was not a superficial weapon, but a complete political, economic, and technological gap behind it.
Both BTC and BSV are irrational and religious to a certain extent. BTC advocates a deadlock block size, and BSV advocates a deadlock protocol. The two are very similar.
In terms of rational development and serving users, BCH has won. For example, the issuance of tokens is an important function and rigid demand of the blockchain. Tokens can already be issued on BCH through several protocols such as Wormhole and SLP, while BTC and BSV cannot yet. This is a huge difference in development.
3. Under what circumstances can BCH exceed BTC?
BCH has to wait for users to slowly develop until the number of users and transactions exceed BTC. Although under normal circumstances, the currency has a scale effect, this situation is unlikely to happen, but BTC made a fatal mistake, and locked the block and locked the user.
What if BTC expands like BCH?
First of all, BTC cannot be expanded because the expansion requires a hard fork, regardless of whether it is within the community or the Core, it must adhere to 1MB, insist on extreme decentralization, and BTC must be able to run on the Raspberry Pi. The result is that the expansion advocates in BTC and Core re-hard fork.
Isn't this the plot of the hard fork of BCH from BTC in 2017? So what are these "advocates" doing hard forking again? Just go straight to BCH.
Therefore, BTC must undergo a hard fork to expand, so it cannot be expanded.
So BCH only needs to catch up, which is a fixed goal. I estimate that in this bull market, BCH can exceed the number of users. At that time, BCH had a solid foundation of users and communities. The price increase only increases the price of BCH, the value of BCH is determined by the number of users, and the price fluctuates around the value.
4. Will BCH hard fork happen? What impact will it have on us later?
The BCH community has recently had a lot of discussions on the issue of miner donations, which reflects the decentralization of BCH.
If BCH is controlled by bitmain, why it took a long time for bitmain to implement this problem? Conversely, if CSW wants to modify something on BSV, it can be passed immediately.
5. Do you think BCH is worth long-term ownership?
I often say: "Ask God in the short term, and the number of users in the long term."
The longer the time, the more worth holding BCH. BCH is developing rapidly due to the correct route. I just gave an example. There are already several schemes for issuing tokens on BCH, but neither BTC nor BSV have one. Part of it is because BSV locks the protocol and is not convenient for development. The other part It is because the BSV community has inherited the characteristics of CSW and only speaks big words and does not do practical things.
Therefore, it is definitely worth holding for 1 to 2 years, and the rate of increase is likely to be higher than that of BTC. I predict that the highest point of this round of bull market for BCH will rise from about 3.6% of BTC to 10% to 20% of BTC.
8. Free Q&A
"Will Bitcoin die due to quantum computers or other reasons?"
Certainly not, at best, replace a quantum-resistant algorithm. Looking at it now, quantum computers will not be practical for a long time. And I think quantum computers may not be able to solve the NP problem, that is, the current asymmetric encryption problem, which may not be possible mathematically.
"The impact of the proliferation of contract transactions on currency prices?"
The currency price is ultimately determined by the number of users, not by speculative users. The proliferation of futures trading has happened long ago. From 2016 to 2017, in the presence of a large number of futures trading, BTC rose 100 times.
"Will you be notified when you escape?"
I will definitely not inform. I have already made predictions. I think the bull market may end in the second half of 2021. Or conversely, this bull market may last for two to three years, and two years are more likely.
Why not notify? Most of my clients are miners, and the currency price directly affects the income of the miners. If the currency price drops due to my notification, the interests of my clients will be damaged.
"Recommended regular investment in 2019, what strategy is recommended in 2020?"
This year's bull market has begun, and it must be a full position investment. The cost of regular investment to buy coins later is very high.
"Is it better to speculate or to mine now?"
Most people can't insist on holding the token from start to finish. Most people are in the middle of the bull market, or even sell it at the beginning, and then miss the entire bull market.
Only miners, no matter what level of miners, will hold the token from beginning to end. During the entire bull market, miners are very profitable. Miners will certainly not sell the goose that lays golden eggs like mining machines in the bull market, so miners tend to make more. The earliest miners are basically still active in the market, and their wealth is free, while the earliest holders of coins are almost gone.

[Diplomacy] The Third Belt and Road Forum: The Caucasus

June 8th, 2021
Beijing, China
The reality is that China does not have the military power that the United States and Russia bring to the world stage, nor do we have decades of Cold War influence that have carved out spheres of influence in the forms of economic unions, alliances, and buffer zones. However, we have the greatest weapons of all on our side: time, and an artificially-devalued currency that allows us to perform what Western economists refer to as "black magic." Our system has confounded the West and its brightest minds for years, and they will continue to scratch their heads as the honorable and powerful People's Republic exercises our soft economic power to carve out our own spheres of influence across the world.
Debt is a loaded gun with a hair trigger, a time bomb with a broken clock. There is a reason moneylenders were so hated all throughout human history -- they held power over their debtors, real power. In a world that is becoming increasingly dominated by the multilateral alliance of NATO and the lone Dragon, we must build a multinational web of our own. We do not have natural allies as do the Americans and Europeans, and many around us do not trust us enough to sign onto a permanent military alliance. However, we can slowly bring the nations of the world to appreciate us through copious investments. And it is through these investments that we will make these countries dependent upon us for growth, so that they may one day repay our kindness with a favor of our own request. The greatest minds of China, including Paramount Leader Xi Jinping, Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank President Jin Liqun, and Silk Road Fund Chairwoman Jin Qi have determined that this is our path forward, and we will follow it to the glorious destiny that awaits us.
The first Belt and Road Forum of 2021 will focus on a valuable reason, one with limitless potential for growth and profit, and an important battleground in the war for global influence: the Caucasus. Turkey, Georgia, and Azerbaijan have been isolated for this round of offers, focusing on infrastructure, energy, agriculture, and more.

Turkey: The Middle Corridor

A nation seeking to increase its own global standing, the Republic of Turkey recently announced the creation of the Middle Corridor Project, an investment program seeking to increase connectivity between Europe and Asia through Anatolia and the Caucasus. Conveniently enough, the People's Republic share the same goal. While Chinese-Turkish relations are not all they once were, it is our opinion that our nations still have much to gain through cooperation in this arena. Therefore, we bring the following offers to the Republic of Turkey:
Working On the Railroad
Following the imminent integration of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway with the Edirne-Kars High Speed Railway, the Turkish-Chinese trade network -- with a total volume of over $100 billion -- will become much faster and more efficient. The vast expansion of this capacity for movement of goods will continue to open up trade avenues between Turkey and China, allowing the Turks to benefit from Chinese investment and affordable manufacturing while Chinese companies will gain access to one of the largest and fastest-growing markets and industrial bases in Europe. To further accelerate and improve this process, China is willing to offer a loan of $2 billion dollars at a 2.4% yearly interest rate for the purpose of more quickly integrating the two rail networks with the rest of the trans-Asian railways. As Chinese companies have been proven to construct a mile of high speed rail for the ludicrously low price of $30 million, this offer should invigorate the process and greatly enhance the railway's capabilities should Turkey accept.
The Nuclear Option
A major goal of the Turkish Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources throughout the 2010s has been the construction of nuclear power plants in order to increase the nation's share of energy from that source. However, a number of projects have only ended in failure, having met various roadblocks from the safety issues that led to the abandonment of the Sinop Power Plant Project and the deterioration of relations with Russia that have halted the progress on the notable Akkuyu Power Plant Project, which was originally scheduled to be built, owned, and operated by Russian parent company Rosatom. The final nuclear plant scheduled in Turkey is the İğneada Power Plant, to be supported by American company Westinghouse Electric.
The People's Republic believes that Turkey would be better off working with the expert Chinese engineers and technicians, rather than the Russians, whose vision of Turkey and willingness to help is clouded by political tension, and the Americans, whose vision of Turkey is little more than a puppet and bulwark against Islamic terrorism in the Middle East. Certainly, Turkey can do better than this. The People's Republic has recognized that Turkey's economy has incredible potential fueled by a hardworking people and a bounty of natural resources. Therefore, we offer the following proposal to the Republic of Turkey:

Georgia: On My Mind

Georgia, despite the relative prosperity in Tbilisi and other major cities, is still very much a developing country. It is heavily reliant on agriculture in many regions, and subsistence farming remains quite common throughout rural parts of the nation. The People's Republic's analysis of the country has determined that in order for it to accelerate its growth and drastically increase its standard of living, it must break the economic stranglehold that is subsistence farming, and Chinese corporations are more than willing to assist in this task. In 2019, Maya Tskitishvili, the Georgian Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development commented that the Belt and Road Initiative would serve an essential function in growing the Georgian economy. As Georgia was one of the first nations to express interest in the initiative back in 2015, we find it fit to repay this faith in kind.
Fixing Farms
As stated, reforming agriculture through the end of subsistence farming is key to unlocking Georgia's industrial and economic potential. To this end, the Beijing Hosen Investment Management Group, along with a number of smaller Chinese agricultural investment firms, are willing to invest a total of $40 million into purchasing farms of 200 acres or less, or farms that have a projected yearly revenue of $50,000 or less, in order to consolidate them into large farms. These farms will employ at least 80% of their workers as Georgian nationals, while Chinese workers may be immigrated into the country to pick up the remaining jobs that will be created -- a notion that Georgia has previously explored with South African, Armenian, and Arabian nationals. Agriculture is generally associated with economies of scale, meaning that larger farms are more productive and more cost-efficient, so neighboring farms that can be combined into singular large enterprises will have a higher priority for purchase and investment. Furthermore, for larger-scale, Georgian-owned agricultural projects, the People's Republic is willing to offer various loans to Georgian companies. A total of $250 million will be made available at a flat yearly interest rate of 3% for the lease of Chinese-manufactured farming equipment from WeiFang Guanghui Agriculture Mechanism, Shandong Yingsheng Machinery Company, and the Qingdao Iaoshan Tractor Factory.
The governments and cooperations of China and Georgia will cooperate to ensure that Georgian farmers who sell their farms will be able to find jobs in the newly-consolidated agricultural conglomerates to ease fears of unemployment. Furthermore, our economists (as well as Georgian economists) estimate that the jobs created by the elimination of subsistence farming will more than compensate for those lost during the transition.
Bit by Boring Bit
Interestingly, a growing career path in the nation of Georgia is full-time Bitcoin mining, as well as other forms of cryptocurrency. It is becoming quite common for young Georgians to take advantage of powerful Soviet-era electricity grids and the abundance of electricity in the region to mine vast quantities of cryptocurrency, making Georgia one of the leading countries in the crypto market. We believe that we can use this to our advantage. Chinese investment banks, notably the Agricultural Bank of China, will purchase a number of cryptomines and put them to work for the People's Republic, subsidizing part of the electricity cost in exchange for a portion of the profits and a foot in the door of the vast Caucasian energy industry, which will be developed more later.

Azerbaijan: The Middle Child

At the Second International Belt and Road Forum in 2019, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev indicated his country's express interest in taking part of the project to expand its infrastructure and trade opportunities. With the increasing importance of the BTK railway, we see it fit to secure our interests in the Azerbaijani economy so that both our countries may profit. We wish to extend an offer of a loan of $8 billion with an interest rate of 3.2% to Azerbaijan to be used in expanding the Baku International Sea Trade Port, which currently handles 15 million tons of cargo, to handle 25 million tons of cargo by 2028. We would also like to explore the possibility of increased Chinese presence in the Caspian through investments in Caspian Sea natural gas, and the China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation is willing to invest $2.4 billion for the construction of two natural gas drilling facilities in the Bahar offshore oil and gas field in the southern Caspian. These natural gas facilities will employ at least 80% of its labor force as Azerbaijani workers, and up to 49% of shares in the facilities will be made available for sale to non-Chinese investors. There are an estimated 25×109 m3 of natural gas in the Bahar fields alone, and the fields currently produce around 130 billion m3, making them a valuable resource that should yield consistent production and profit well into the future.

The Fourth Belt and Road Forum

The People's Republic is open for business. In the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak that scarred many economies around the world, we want our fellow nations to know that China is willing and able to invest in them to ensure a better future for both our peoples. Currently, China is targeting the Middle East for the next round of investments, but the People's Republic promises that any nation which requests loans will be considered.

Halving importance: Miner perspective

The bitcoin halvings in 2012 and 2016 were at times when mining changed from a fun hobby to the beginning of farms and larger mining operations. We went from CPU-GPU-ASIC in these 2 halving periods. The main theme during most of this time was people mining for fun and at a relatively low cost, all while BTC was mainly under $1k.
Things changed when the antminer S7 and later S9 came out and BTC began to really rise in price. Miners were making a lot of real money and thus began the creation of major mining farms for profit.
When the element of mining as a business is the forefront of the network, selling BTC to cover costs becomes a big part of most operations. We have all heard the number of 1800 BTC created daily during the 12.5 block reward time, and this has translated to around 18,000,000 usd per day @ a $10k BTC price.
The reason this is so significant is miners are the only group of people that have brand new BTC that is constantly open sold on the market. Every other person involved in BTC is buying and selling existing BTC supply.
When the miner reward is cut to 6.25, this will help in the long run imo, but may add even more selling pressure by miners in the short term. Miners will instantly be making half the amount and will still have the same business costs. Even with rewards cut in half, 900 BTC and $9 million will be created per day as of right now. This is still a huge amount to be absorbed in the market, and we could see even more selling pressure than we do now where a lot of miners have a buffer in mining profits at the 1800 BTC per day network rate.
TDLR: Halving will help in the long run but short term could add even more selling pressure than right now at a higher BTC inflation.

Should we get into the stock market?

Obviously given the current market standings there are a lot of benefits of getting in now, knowing that the market will recover once the current circumstances eventually blow over. My husband (29M) and I(24F) are having trouble coming to an agreement on what to do here, he thinks we should take this opportunity to put money into investments and get our savings properly started. I think we should focus on maintaining liquidity now because we KNOW we have a lot of expenses coming up in the next year.
The amount to invest in question is 1000 - 1600 CAD.
We make a combined income of ~90kCAD/year, I have to give an approximation because we live abroad. We would be investing with family (i.e., giving them the money to manage - they can be trusted) and we are Canadian citizens just non residents.
Our living expenses are low, however we aren't very conscientious spenders. Where we live we end up spending a lot of money on fresh fruits and vegetables which are pretty expensive here (we live on an island so everything is imported). We also do give ourselves a large sum of spending money (~600CAD/month each), adjusted for how expensive things are here) each month, I save most of mine for traveling home, and he spends his mostly on eating out, coffee etc.
We also have student loans. We just paid his off, and mine has ~4000 left to pay off. With his loan being fully paid we now have an extra $200/month to put away. Finally, to make this international move we had to take out a significant amount of money (we made this move right after he graduated from his PhD and I finished my undergrad so we had no savings what so every). So we also have around $14 000 on a low interest loan that we are slowly chipping away at.
We have around 2 more years in this country before we will be repatriating to Canada. We will be able to take our pensions (~5000 CAD total) when we leave which will help with expenses, but otherwise we will be entirely on our own assuming my husband doesn't get an amazing job offer that includes relocation which isn't impossible but we certainly can't count on. We're planning on leaving a little differently than we came, basically selling most of everything we have and moving with the least amount of stuff possible to cut down on shipping costs. We intend to rent when we return to Canada, with buying a house being in the distant future - we're both comfortable with this.
Right now we have around $6000 in the bank (split between Canadian and local accounts) that is our buffer. It's pretty good, and could last us around 3 months if we suddenly both lost our jobs (unlikely given our unique circumstances - we are both being paid in full during the pandemic shutdown).
Now here is the kicker, I'm three months pregnant. Pregnancy was planned before the pandemic began, but with the understanding that this is where our finances are. We are in a country with well socialized medicine so we don't need to worry about medical bills, but obviously bringing a baby into things will drastically change our financial viability.
I feel like now is the time for us to a) buckle down on our personal spending so we can put away more and b) definitely keep ourselves as liquid as possible to cover costs here while working to pay down our other loans aggressively but responsibly. I just don't think tying any of our money up in extra knots will be worth the short-term payoff.
My husband is worried that we're missing out on the "next bitcoin", and that we'll regret not investing for the rest of our lives. The thing is I don't disagree, I do believe this is a rare opportunity but I also believe we aren't in a real position to go for it right now. It sucks, and I'm definitely disappointed that we aren't in a different position, I just don't see it as smart to cut our buffer by $1000 when we need that liquidity here.
If it helps for context I grew up fairly poor, but my husband grew up stable. His parents were always investing and are now living off of those investments in a comfortable retirement. By contrast the only reason my mom will ever be able to retire is because she recently married money (harsh but true). So I accept that I may be a little too conservative and fearful when it comes to investing, because that kind of money is hard to come by and even though I understand all the benefits of investing it's hard not to want to just sit on it in a savings account where I can get to it if I need it.
BTW husband and I wrote this together and both feel it is a fair representation of the current situation. We really appreciate any thoughts that you might have on our current circumstances.

Assassin Ling and the tale of the Ox Assassin

Well, it's maintenance again! Meaning it's time for another shitpost from the future to keep you guys entertained before we get sucked back into our robotic and addicting routine of playing this god-forsaken game! Before I begin, I would like to thank the 4 people that built MAG Daddy Raegen. CG Emperor Raegen was NOT released in the future and the meta was saved from his unholy grasp. You are the true pioneers of the game. I would also like to give a shoutout to Evil Laughter 01 with the release of his favorite unit Rosa. I still have mine from the time I used to watch his videos and I would like to personally thank him for his amazing guides wherever he may be.

Who is Assassin Ling?

Today, we'll be talking about Assassin Ling, a Physical attackebuffedebuffer. She finally got a rework after losing the Unit Popularity contest 14 times in a row, getting beaten by Elena this year, twice by Esther, Ricardo, three times by Foo, Madam, Regina, and four times by Medius. Let's just say the u/FlipMethod had some of the best 4 years of his life. With the vengeance of a million daggers, Ling finally got reworked and re-released during the CNY event of 2033, the year of the Water Ox. And boy does she hit hard like one...

With the release of CG King Edge (FFIV) (yes, his sprite also has a chair), FFBE introduced a new mechanic called assassinate. Imagine Jump skills mixed with Ang's Shot skills. The user hides for one turn, then the player taps on which enemy they want to damage. Here's the kicker, the damage is dealt immediately after tapping. Meaning, you could build a 300 chain then cap it with an assassination. Assassin Ling had a Mega Magnus Ability called "Call of the Oxen Clan" where she grants all allies a 300% stat buff for 4 turns, and grants them the 2-hit assassinate Magnus ability "Oxassinate" (2 uses per battle). In effect, A.Ling would grant all her allies a free Hide ability that deals damage and an insane stat buff. Meaning you could cheese trials with thresholds, and turn your units into chain finishers. The downside is that assassinate skills can't chain with other assassinate skills because every unit will get highlighted for the player to tap on the enemy in succession. So if you used 3 assassinate abilities with Medius, Ricardo and Rosa, Medius' icon would appear, you tap, he deals damage, he gets back on the field, then Ricardo's icon would appear, you tap, etc. Assassin Ling's ability makes her a very niche unit that isn't broken or anything. Other utilities she has includes on-demand 70% debuffs, 180% buffs, 70% elemental resists and a couple of enfeeblements like poison and paralyze. Not impressed? Well what if I told you that these are her 6-star skills. Her 7 star skills include, but are not limited to: 74% debuffs, 220% buffs, and 110% fire, earth and thunder resist breaks. To top it off, her LB grants a 2-hit AoE Mirage. What she lacks in her kit is physical mitigation, magical mitigation, general mitigation, killers, stat reduction resistance buffs and status ailments resistance buff, again, a very niche character. A few years after she got released, they gave her EP Skills with some killers (human, beast, machine and dragon), awakened skills (more stat buffs and they added mitigation) and Transcendence Skills which change the way you use her altogether.

What makes her really good?

The Transcendence skills system (TSS) is an Esper enhancement type of system for units. You use points to unlock nodes that grant you abilities and stats. Getting Transcendence Points (TP) is ... shitty. There's a monthly trial that grants you coins that you use to buy Job Points that you use for your units. So let's say that you have an awesome unit like MAG Daddy Raegen. He's a physical attackesupport character in his character listings. You're going to need physical attacker job points to unlock the physical attacking skills, killers and ATK stat buffs from his tree, and support job points to unlock his buff skills. He does have a few random healing skills that use healer job points but those are just there as a big F-U to the players with love from Coomie. Now back to Ling. What makes her really broken is her TSS Skill called Oxen Slash: a 30x modifier Pyro Strike chaining family T-castable skill that powers up with consecutive uses up to 150x (5 times). Here's the kicker: she has another TSS skill that reapplies whatever buffs she had before dying after being raised. Had her 300% stat buff with a fully stacked Oxen Slash and killers but you died because of fixed damage? Raise, she got them back. She also gets magical provoke, magical cover, and innate 70% magical evasion and 30% physical evasion from her TSS tree. I managed to max out her tree and oh boy... was she interesting. I was lucky enough to pull enough of her to make two 9-stars Assassin Lings after spending 50 Bitcoin to buy Lapis, and an extra 12 Bitcoin to max both of them after 5 months of non-stop grinding. For reference, in 2033, 1 Bitcoin = $20,000 at the time of Ling's release and they reduced the price of purchasing Lapis. If you think this is bad, wait till I tell you about the time I sold 3 generations worth of my kids into unpaid, lifetime labor at Square Enix's cafeteria to raise enough money to pull for and build five 10-star CG Warrior of Light, Darkness, Void, Dreams, Nightmares, Dusk, Dawn and Sexiness Bunny Paladin Awakened Magitek Enhanced Triple Asura Akstar of the Alpha to Omega Super Nova Star or simply, Nova Akstar. But I digress.
2 Fully built Lings can clear every single content in the game released before 2033 period. However, you might need 4 of her own Ultimate Giga Three Mega Hyper Super Trust Master Rewards. Scorn of the quad-reborned moon? OTKO. Scorn of the scorn of the Re-awakened Iron Giant precursor of doom? 2TKO. Scorn of the Great Explosion Festival? Sorry buddy, but the game would crash whenever you entered that trial. Should've cleared it in 2022 when you had the chance!
Anyways, I will end my post with a huge congratulations to Elena and all the people who voted for her. Just know that because of you, Coomie delayed the release of a reworked Ling, and I'm now living in a cardboard box next to a telephone booth in North-West London eating nothing but the leftovers of Briton Fried Chicken found in dumpsters. Selling everything you own for a virtual character of the game you love not as much as your wife can really change your life. Be smart, vote Ling 2021.
Night out!

Iptv basics and start guide.

I thought it was time for an updated version of this guide so I took some from the old and added in a bunch of new stuff. IPTV has evolved and this guide should too. So here we go. I will add to this as time goes on with the goal of making this the ultimate IPTV guide.
If you expect and want channels with 100% uptimes then IPTV is not for you. You are better off with Sling TV or PS Vue or Amazon Prime or Youtube TV or something similar, or sticking with your current cable or satellite service.
Many different services restream from the same sources. That means, generally speaking, if there's an issue from the source, a lot of different providers are going to be having issues and it's out of their hands. Most good services do have multiple sources for the same channels, so if there's an issue with one source, they just switch the channel over to the other. However, you do need to come in with lowered expectations. You're paying likely somewhere between $12-$15 a month for your service. These providers don't have a call center, a team of dedicated professionals taking shifts, and the most expensive equipment and technology out there like the cable providers do. It's usually one or at most two or three people behind the scenes maintaining things, and then a bunch of resellers. Point is, if you're expecting perfection, you're going to be disappointed. Every service has hiccups. Every. Single. One. There's downtime, there's buffering, there's incomplete EPGs, there is always something and it's impossible for there not to be. Yes, there are providers that are more "stable" than others, but anyone who tells you there is 100% no buffering, never any issues, and never any down time, is 100% lying to you.
First and foremost, DO NOT BELIEVE ANYONE HERE. If you post a request for IPTV provider recommendations, you will surely get re sellers and providers pimping their warez. There are many providers and resellers shilling their product here. I do not have to name specific usernames but if you been here long enough you will see certain providers propped up here time and time again.
If you post a request for an IPTV providers, you will surely get re sellers and providers pimping their warez (repeating this again for emphasis)
My best advice is to do your own research. Start by reading here /IPTVReviews/ Then Google research the provider you are interested in, then join the provider forums and a READ as much as you can.
IPTV has many variables affecting the stability of the channels
Source channels providers (content generators) <--- Your provider is only as good as the content generators. Not much you as a customer can do here.
IPTV provider this is who you are looking for
ISP <--- they might throttle you which might require a VPN (more on this in a moment, because everyone should be using one). They might block the IPTV provider all together using something like. Sky Shield or BT websafe. You want to disable these blockers. I see people saying they have a gigabit link but still buffering.. Sorry it's most likely you. You have a gigabit link to the next hop and thats about it. A provider that buffers continuously usually does not last long. Customers will leave in droves.... so chances are it is probably your issue.
Customer Network <---- Your home network might not be up to par. Do you have wifi/wired? Do you live in a apartment building with a lot of WIFI competition? Get a wired link.
Customer device <--- is your device underpowered? An old enigma or a cheap android box might not cut it for HD or FHD.
Customer application<--- is it updated or have known bugs? VLC is the best test application on a wired computer.
This means what works for someone may not work for you. A certain provider may work great for one person (most likely a shill) but it may not work well for you.
… which leads us to TRIALS
TRIALS TRIALS TRIALS
Do as many as you can.
Keep in mind, the larger and probably more established provider will not offer free trials since they do not have incentive to. Out of a hundred trials they get maybe 1 reals sub. So out of that free 100 trials is countless request for help and configuration help that yields to wasted effort. A nominal cost ($2 USD to $5 USD) for trial for the bigger more established providers is normal.
Resellers and newer providers do offer free trials but usually on the weekday since they are trying to establish their base.
WEEKEND TRIALS are usually never free due to the large amount of sporting events on.
As some many have mentioned, instead of doing trials, buy a month at one provider then go to another provider.and cycle through them .. after about 4 months or so you will be an expert.
USE A VPN. Just do it. I use Nord and many people use IPVanish. You can buy 3 years for pretty cheap and it encrypts your internet traffic with 256 bit encryption. On top of that, your actual IP address will never hit the providers panel, meaning if you've taken other proper security measures (more on that in a second), you're safe and you don't need to worry about the scary things you read about services getting into legal trouble. Honestly if you are in the UK you should be using a VPN for everything, not just streaming, in my opinion, and I live in North America and use it for everything anyway. Providers get taken down or threatened to be taken down all the time. Your information is stored on their panels, or their websites. Use fake information when you sign up on websites. Now a good provider has failsafes in place so if they do start to feel the heat, everyone's information is wiped, but the reality is most providers aren't as smart as people give them credit for. Even user names are important. If you sign up on their website with your real name and your service username becomes your name, or a variation of your name, it just makes it that much easier for you to be identified. Sign up as "John Smith" or "John Doe" or "Supercalafradulistic Expealadocious" while connected to your VPN, and if that service ever ends up under investigation, how much time do you think they're going to spend trying to figure out who YOU are among likely thousands of other users? Not likely.
LEARN HOW TO PAY WITH BITCOIN. It's really not that hard, and believe me I was intimidated when I first tried to figure it out but it's simple. All you do is sign up for a BTC wallet with a provider like Coinbase (or if you're in Canada I suggest Shakepay). From there, you can buy Bitcoin with your credit card (or with Shakepay by e-transfer). If a provider accepts Bitcoin or Etherium or another cryptocurrency, you select that payment method at checkout, follow the instructions and you've just paid with Bitcoin which is virtually untraceable. I think if people weren't so hung up on the slight learning curve, more people would use this method, but there's really not much to it and after a transaction or two you'll have it down pat. You can also earn Bitcoin for free with a tool like Crypto Browser which mines coins as you browse. You won't get rich but you might earn a few bucks a month to go towards your subscription and all you really have to do is use the browser or leave it open when you're not at your computer.
CHANNELS Don't be wowed by services with 5000+ channels just because they have a lot of channels. You will not watch all 5000 channels, in fact most of them will be in languages you don't speak. You will not watch Disney JR in Greek. Pay attention to the channels/categories that matter most to YOU, and judge the services based on those. A service may work great for American channels, but if Italian channels are important to you and they don't work, your experience isn't going to be as good as the guy who pays no attention to those.
VOD This has become less important especially if you own an Android device, as there are tons of free apps that have more VOD on them for free than any IPTV provider could ever hope to offer. Think of VOD as a bonus only. If the provider has it, great. If not, you would probably have a better experience with an Emby service anyway and there are plenty of those too who's sole focus is VOD.
SD OPTIONS Wooo hoo my provider has all FHD channels! and you will buffer all day everyday until your subscription expires. Keep in mind if you watch on your mobile you want a provider with some SD options. If you have data transfer caps you will want SD channels. FHD/HD left on is a crap load of traffic. Ideally ones that have HD and SD options for your favorite channels.
SUPPORT How responsive is your provider? Do they respond quickly? Do they treat you fairly? Are they reasonable? Do they fulfill these requests? Do they help you configure your device and offers post purchase support help? Honestly, this is one of many reasons why it's smart to use a good reseller versus going direct to a provider. Yes you might pay a couple dollars extra, but resellers have way more time to give you (good ones at least) and it's yet another layer of security because again, if a provider gets taken down, and the reseller is SMART (that's key) they've taken measures to at least be more difficult to hunt down than the average person -- coupled with your own security measures like the VPN, fake personal information and maybe you've even taken the time to learn to use Bitcoin, you're safe.
COMMUNITY Do they have a community of other users that can help each other with support and tips and tricks or does your IPTV provider leave you isolated on an island. I see people come here to ask question they should be asking their provider directly.
PRIVACY Are they protecting your privacy? Do they need your personal information Facebook Support group? AVOID if possible. Facebook requires you to request help with you real information. Do you want your Aunt Sally asking why you are posting to "HellonEarthHOSTINGSolutions"? Facebook tracks all your post to request help on IPTV. IMHO, it is plain lazy on the providers part to only have Facebook. There are plenty of other ways to build a community (Discord, Telegram, etc).
This was taken from another redit post but very useful for you guys to see.

The absolute adrenaline that is Tarkov

And so there i was in shoreline running around in the pitch dark hoping that what little moonlight may guide my path down these wretched claustrophobic hallways, My mind and spirit both wishing so dearly for the elusive Ledx and red card spawn. I was hungry, I was optimistic. The cold Russian rain pattering atop the roof as I ascend up the stairs of east wing building of the resort, rushing straight for door 222, my heart was pounding in my ear.
They could be here anytime now i thought.
I reach the front of the door and pulled out the key for it, my fingers fumble about in the dark. No, not this key...where is it...
Then footsteps. They came from the floor below me, My heart quickens. I jam in a key into the lock and hoped it was the right one, gave it a twist...and the bolt came loose.
Yes!
I force my way in closing the door behind me before frantically searching the room and there it is! I FOUND IT! With a black plastic body with a crescent moon smile it sat atop one of the shelves, a Ledx!
I slap that bad boy into my secure case and was ready to die. The footsteps were approaching closer and closer now.
I grip tightly onto the automatic pistol that i got, an APS. Staring at the door, waiting for it to open and for that cone of light to peer into the room and paint the room with bullets.
But it never came.
Huh.
I popped a syringe of morphine i found in the room and decided to peek out into the hallway and take my chances. If I was gonna die then at least I would die trying to fill my enemies with holes.
What if they left? What if someone else had gotten their attention?
I began to greed more and more each second.
A minute passes.
two minutes passes.
I was lured into a sense of security slowly.
three minutes passes.
"If they left then i could head up to grab more loot, oh imagine the bitcoins and gold chains you could walk out with..." I thought.
I steeled myself and pushed out of the room, the door creaked and wailed in agony. I winced at the sound and peered right toward the stairwell. it was dark and ominous.
Oh shit, is that movement?
I see a blob of grey lighter than the wall behind it move slightly and with twitch reaction pulled the trigger once before ducking back into the room, running into the furthest corner to avoid an incoming nade.
But it never came.
Did I panic to nothing at all? I must have.
I looked out once more and this time round I see a silhouette fast approaching me.
This time I screamed bloody murder and went full auto with this dinky 9mm pistol of mine.
The corridor lit up momentarily to muzzle flashes, the scene almost looking like a stop motion movie.
I see it.. its kevlar cladded body and steel bounded head, the thing's weapon of death staring down at me. This monster had four green eyes, and on its back what looked to be a wrapped up corpse.
Then a new set of gunshots rang out from this creature.
I counted four shots at first.
The beast topples forward and goes prone.
My gun clicks, its muzzle glowing red hot. My fingers still wrapped around the trigger like a vice. It ran out of ammo.
So this is it.
I loosened my grip on the pistol, dangling it from a finger. Awaiting the surgical removal of my kneecaps...
Then another shot....
And... it sounded further away?
Oh shit.
I looked up from my defeated stance and see this behemoth motionless on the floor.
"No way." I murmured to myself.
I too prone down on his body and the search option popped up.
"Dear lord."
Gen 4 assault kit, A b6 backpack, M4 kitted out with a red buffer tube, Night vision goggles on a helmet with mutton chops, black rock rig filled to the brim with all the heavy ordinance you could ever want.
I ripped off his armour with senseless lust, kicking the body aside. Pried his still warm fingers from his weapon, bullets still with my name on it. Pulled the dogtag around his neck to properly claim my rightful kill.
I get up and made my way towards the exit... and there lies at the very end of the hallway
Another identical monster.
Dead and limp on the cold concrete.
"Nooooo...." I say in disbelief
I crouch down to inspect his dogtag. "Killed by xennos_g2 with Aps"
I laughed maniacally, bending over to harvest the carcass as well. Tossing everything it had into the the bag that could well fit an entire human.
My shoulders ache at the heavy tugging from my pack, it rattles and grumbles from its fullness.
Every step taken towards the exifil was exhilarating.
This is it!
Every breath I exhale exclaimed victory!
I am the apex predator of Shoreline!
There it is, I see it. The Tunnels! Im out!
I WIN!
Ps. Died right at the firetruck to a mosin extract camper.

Continuous Pool Disconnection & 0 Mh/s Speeds

What's up internet/fellow miners. About a week ago I've made the decision to turn my gaming PC to a mining rig. I've had some success solo mining with nicehashminer (Bitcoin miner) but decided that it would be better to mine Ethereum. I've followed the guide and kept coming across these issues. . . I don't know if it's because my config files are whack or another underlying issue.
(EDIT) Connected to us1.ethermine.org:4444 now i'm getting different issues. Here are my most recent logs.

November BTC Fork - The Facts

Update 2: THE NOVEMBER SEGWIT2X HARDFORK HAS NOW BEEN CANCELLED! :D
Update: Thank you for your appreciation on this article. I decided to publish it on Medium.
You can find the article on this link.

Existing Article:
With less than a dozen days left before the SegWit2X fork, I thought I'd start gathering some facts before I start forming personal opinions and speculative conclusions. I refer to the SegWit1X chain as 1X and the SegWit2X chain as 2X for simplicity, and I have looked for very simple facts and safe assumptions. Here are the dots that I gathered:

• Fork at Block 494,784. Approximate time = 16th of November - see Reference 6 for exact time.

The New York Agreement: The NYA involved parties representing about 83% of the then hashing power who all agreed to both hardforks - one for SegWit and another for an increased block size of 2MB (2X) within 6 months of the former. Further details in reference 1.

• It is safe to assume that miners will only mine the most profitable chain (possibly several chains in differing proportions).
• If whales pump a single chain it will gain more value. If this happens, miners will be more inclined to mine that particular chain only. This will result in the other chain(s)potentially losing overall mining attractiveness.

1X will continue to have a 1MB block and SegWit;
2X will have a 2MB block and SegWit;
Bitcoin Cash (Just for info right now) currently has an 8 MB block with NO SegWit;

Current Price Status (Futures) on BitFinex: 2X/BTC = 0.17; 1X/BTC = 0.83

Current Mining Status: 2X = Around 85% of blocks are signalling for 2X.
It seems only a few mining pools including Slush Pool, F2Pool and Kano CKPool are not signalling Segwit2X. All Antpool (Jihan Wu) owned pools are signalling for Segwit2X and will likely continue to do so up to the fork. It is not clear if any other pools from the Segwit2X signalling group will change their minds in the meantime.

Lower mining power chain: Likely to be 1X. Fees likely to be extremely high as not many miners. Difficulty adjustment could take a few weeks, if not months. Until then it will be very difficult to transfer funds. [It may be better to keep BTC on an exchange before fork, to ease liquidity cost/time if you want to sell either of the coins immediately]

Double-spending: Miners (from 2X) will have an ability and incentive to double-spend on the minority chain (lower mining power chain). If you have huge mining power, you can allocate some of it to just double-spend on the minority chain. Some people will possibly lose confidence in the minority chain as a result.

Replay-Protection: Neither 1X nor 2X currently have replay protection.

Exchanges:
  1. Bitfinex: original chain is “BTC”, SegWit2x chain is “B2X”
  2. BitMEX: Original chain is BTC
  3. Bitstamp: Unknown
  4. GDAX & Coinbase: hash power and market cap decides which chain is “BTC”
  5. Kraken: Unknown
  6. HitBTC: original chain is “BTC”, SegWit2x chain is “B2X”
  7. CoinsBank: Original chain is BTC
  8. CEX.IO: original chain is “BTC”, SegWit2x chain is “B2X”
  9. Gemini: hash power decides which chain is “BTC”
  10. Coinfloor: Unknown
  11. BTCC (Updated on Twitter): BTCC will consider which of 1MB and 2MB to name as #bitcoin based on market feedback and adoption.
Further details in reference 4.

The OPINIONs section
Vinny Lingham's opinion: 2X will outcompete 1X.

Enter Bitcoin Cash: A review by Ryan X. Charles who has incorporated some of Vinny Lingham's quotes, states the following:

a. BCH is a fork of BTC with same PoW, but with improved Difficulty Adjustment Algorithm (DAA). BCH cannot die, but 1X and 2X could both die. If whales shift most of their holdings to BCH (or another coin), that would incentivise the miners to mine BCH (or another coin) instead of 1X and 2X. Both 1X and 2X would lose their mining power; however Core would release an emergency update to software adding DAA like BCH (or another coin). Thus, 1X would survive, and 2X (which might not get DAA) would die.

b. If 2X continues to be the dominantly mined chain, 1X will be forced to launch an emergency update to their PoW with DAA. There could be fighting between the two chains, and as a result a struggle to become dominant potentially causing altcoins to flourish.

My observations
BCH is upgrading their EDA (Emergency Difficulty Adjuster) on Nov 13. See website. This will lead to reduced volatility in BCH - likely making it more attractive to more long-term miners.

Mining profitability: It is currently almost equally profitable to mine either BTC or BCH.

• What to keep and eye on before the fork to judge yourself where the fate of BTC is heading.
  1. Mining signalling distribution
  2. DAA: 1X or 2X software updates to implement Difficulty Adjustment Algorithms
  3. Futures price before fork
  4. Significant whale movement

The Final and Strongest Weapon Against us will be the Hardest to Beat! - Conflict of Interest

Good afternoon, dear Dash family. It is with a gleeful heart, the I bring to you the summary of our detractors greatest weaponry against us, so that we may protect our hearts and our minds from their attempts to destroy us from within. Firstly, a congratulations to DCG, and the other decentralized autonomous organizations that are working diligently and daily for our growth and continued success. Without your efforts, this conversation wouldn't even be possible. Because Dash is so technically and fundamentally sound as a cryptocurrency, it really isn't possible to successfully attack us using traditional means.
The masternode layer provides a secondary financial buffer that gives us much protection from a variety of attacks. However the Masternode layer DRAMATICALLY increases the financial incentive for our greatest weakspot:

Conflicts of Interest

We have people, who are right now, parasitically and maliciously siphoning as much funding from the treasury as possible, in order to prevent growth in Dash. These are not just trolls. These are individuals within our own community who for whatever reason, have seen fit to sabotage our future growth. These individuals will not tell you of the financial gain or the intimidation they may be under. They will only tell you what they've been told to tell you in order to disrupt this community, and destroy us.
We have to overcome them in order to succeed because they will not allow us to grow naturally or normally. You can see evidence of it in the things they advocate for. You can see evidence of it in the way they argue and push speculative assertions as fact. You can also see evidence of it in the refusal of the moderators to act against this blatant violation of the rules. You can see evidence of it in the way our most promising teams have been repeatedly defunded, like in Ghana, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, etc. This cannot be accidental, although it is designed to appear to be, or if not that then racism, this is deliberate malicious action! While this may sound like bad news, it's actually really good news.
Why?? Because this is the last attack. After we defeat this, there will be no stopping us. We are literally at the final boss. They are attempting to jettison our teams in third world countries because they know we can really get demand and service these places with financial freedom. They are attempting to shutdown our voting process with either control or coercion of masternodes and their owners. In other words, they are desperate and using final, obvious measures. They are praying that we don't notice, just act lazy, don't do anything and hope it gets better while they sabotage us. But we can stop them dead in their tracks. If we defeat them here, they will be gone for good. So stay vigiliant.
Never one to complain without offering solutions, the best way to clear individuals who may have a conflict of interest is simply to ask them. 'Have you ever been paid by such and such for commentary, advice, or to infiltrate the Dash network?' Don't worry, they won't lie. Because if you force them to lie, they are setting themselves up for exposal later. If they refuse to answer, then you should become suspicious.
There should be no reason you wouldn't acknowledge a link to the Nano community here, for example. We're competitors but there's no conflict of interest. The Monero community, however, has a vested stated goal in our destruction, and thus being paid by them, working for or with them would obviously be an unacceptable, massive conflict of interest. They, however, are relying on our 'civility' to prevent us from 'going there', and giving them cover basically. So the best way to defeat that is to go there, and go there often. As often as needed until our community is again filled with those of us who only wish to see it succeed.
In recap, the best way to defeat conflicts of interest are to
  1. Become aware of them
  2. Call them out
  3. Shun and evict those members from the community
Its that simple. The beauty/achille's heel of soft manipulation/mind control techniques is that they're easily defeated by simple mental efforts. Scissors statements, for example, are easily and universally defeated by adopting a position of neutrality. If everyone agrees to do this then not only will the scissor statement fail, but you will likely arrive at a decently reasoned conclusion.
Concern trolling is another simple to beat technique. All you have to do, is verify if the concerns are valid logical premises. For example, there is no reason to be concerned about a lack of inflation in Dash. Inflation is bad. The only use for inflation in a cryptocurrency is to prevent it from being centralized in the same hands, hence mining and disinflation until fee market. So no inflation is part of the plan and a feature not a bug. If you have inflation in your coin supply, then you should be concerned, because you're destroying forever the wealth held in the coin's economy.
Blockstream destroyed bitcoin core not because they were not competent developers. BTC has some of the best and brightest developers. Blockstream destroyed bitcoin core because they had a conflict of interest. Their salaries were paid by bankers and credit card companies. We cannot allow the same thing to happen to our community.
